New Board Members Join VITL

VITL announces the appointment of Rick Hildebrant, MD, MBA, Chief Medical Information Officer; Medical Director, Hospital Medicine; Rutland Regional Medical Center, and Sarah Lindberg, Senior Data Science Consultant at Freedman HealthCare, to its Board of Directors.

Rick Hildebrant, M.D. brings extensive medical expertise and strong leadership in healthcare information systems to VITL’s Board of Directors. He is the Chief Medical Information Officer and Medical Director of Hospital Medicine at Rutland Regional Medical Center. Dr. Hildebrant serves as the Chair of the Vermont Board of Medical Practice, is the Medical Director of the Rutland Community Collaborative, is an Assistant Professor at the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine, and he serves on the Board of Directors of Rutland Mental Health Services. In addition to seeing patients at the hospital, Dr. Hildebrant works to improve the information systems to provide efficient access to high quality data for both providers and patients. Dr. Hildebrant completed his Masters in Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He studied medicine at Drexel University School of Medicine and completed his internal medicine residency at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.

Sarah Lindberg brings comprehensive health data analytics and management experience to the Board of Directors. At Freedman HealthCare, a prominent national consulting firm specializing in leveraging health data for problem-solving, Lindberg is a Senior Data Science Consultant. She provides strategic guidance and data-driven insights to clients, aiding them in addressing complex challenges within the health care domain. Lindberg dedicated thirteen years of her career to the State of Vermont, managing the State’s health care databases and datasets, including Vermont All-Payer Claims Database (VHCURES) and its hospital discharge dataset (VUHDDS). Lindberg holds a Masters in statistics from the University of Vermont and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and legal studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
