VITL is proud to partner with 48 EMS agencies across Vermont, each dedicated to delivering essential emergency medical services in their communities. VITL gives these agencies access to consolidated electronic medical records, to make patient information accessible during emergencies.

Patient outcomes are also an important part of the feedback loop for EMS staff and are easily accessible through VITL. VITL improves the ability to perform quality assurance activities, to know that patients received the appropriate treatment at point of care and inform future emergency care practices.

In addition to using VITLAccess to support care and quality improvement, many EMS agencies have found that the available data improves the efficiency of administrative and billing operations. Agencies are often funded by tight town budgets and staffed largely by volunteers, so any operational efficiency helps.

We were proud to join Richmond Rescue, a provider of 911 ambulance services to seven Vermont towns, as featured on Vermont’s NBC5 to highlight the great work they’re doing in the community.

Michael Chiarella, the Director of Operations at Richmond Rescue says: “VITL is amazing… It’s reassuring to know that even if someone can’t talk to us, we can still get information on someone’s medical history or typical line of questioning with every patient. So it’s really saved the day a number of times.”
